Hospitality Update

Hotels continue to be the hot commodity in Santa Barbara! Recently sold hotels include Hotel Californian (~$130M), Hotel Indigo (~$19M), Hotel Santa Barbara (~$42M), The Franciscan Inn (~$21M), The Goodland/The Leta (~$33M), & The Quality Inn (~$10M).

In addition, many more are being proposed or actively developed. To name a few that will have some fun amenities: an 80+ room resort will be underway at Cabrillo and Calle Cesar Chavez (across from the Hilton) featuring a restaurant and rooftop pool and bar; the 500 block will see a DRIFT brand hotel -- rendering at right -- next door to Institution Ale featuring a bar/restaurant and coffee bar; the owners of 801 State (former Brat Haus) have proposed a 14-room hotel + restaurant + rooftop bar + basement bar; and 35 Anacapa (across from Channel Islands Surf Shop) has a proposed 3-story mixed-use property including 12 hotel rooms along with tasting rooms, restaurants and art galleries.
